Hello and welcome!

We are a used book store located in Charlottesville, VA. The Book Room has been open since 1978. Some of our customers still reminisce about when we first opened! Our daily rotating stock includes books from a broad range of categories- from the latest contemporary romance to thrilling spy novels, from literary fiction to biographies, and much more. We invite you to come wander through the aisles and peruse our extensive collection of over 50,000 books; it’s easy to get lost for a couple of hours exploring all of the different titles!

Our books are priced at 50% off of the publishers original price, to a maximum of $10. Minimum prices also apply based on book category. We are pleased to offer store credit to our customers for books they no longer need. You can find more information about our trading policy here.
